Building a website...understanding the steps involved and the fees you'll pay.

1. The first step is easy!  Call TechMark at 325.643.2700 for a FREE consultation.  All of your questions will be answered, and we begin to design your new website.
2. Purchase a domain name for you/your business.    The cost is $35 for one year.  (The cost per year is less if you purchase for 3, 5, or 10 years.  (TechMark will research your domain name or choice to determine if it's available for purchase.)
3. Determine the content for your website.  If you get writer's block, think of your website as an 'electronic brochure' that will market your business or services.
4. Choose a design that will reflect your business or your personal preferences.   There are lots of factors to think about...fonts, colors, formatting, graphics, etc.   Don't have a clue?  That's OK, as TechMark will help you with a design that will work for you.
5. Approve the design concept.  TechMark will execute this website design as specified by the client during the initial consultation meetings.  The development fee is $75 per hour  plus any associated expenses.  
6. Approve the final product.  Your website is ready to be published!

Now What?

• Your website is 'published' when it is installed on a DNS, or domain name server.  That means the files associated with your website will be physically located, or "hosted" on an authorized website server. 
• You will be responsible for a monthly hosting fee. 
• The hosting fee is determined by the final size (number of pages, text and graphics) included in the finished website project.  
• TechMark utilizes a third-party shared web hosting service in order to reduce the hosting cost to the clients. Typically, the monthly hosting fees averages from $25 - $50/month.
• There is a one-time fee of $50 to register and install your website onto TechMark's domain name server.

What if I need changes or updates made after my website is up?

• Once your website is up, you'll have thirty (30) days to request changes, additions and updates to your website, and there is no maintenance fee applied during the thirty (30) day period. 
• Thereafter, a maintenance fee of $75 per hour will apply for any Client-requested updates, changes, deletions, revisions additions and/or any other changes to the Client website. 
• In the event of maintenance work performed due to a problem created by TechMark’s hosting service, no maintenance fee is applied.

When do I get billed?

• TechMark will forward an itemized monthly invoice to you listing any fees, charges and/or work performed on your website. 

• Prior to any development work being performed, a deposit of $150 is required.
